HEGAN Basque Aerospace Cluster
HEGAN is a private, non-profit association that groups together the Basque Aeronautics and Space sector, created with the aim of fostering, promoting and stimulating the same. As a Cluster Association, its aim is to represent and promote this sector to ensure its competitiveness in short, medium and long-term through co-operation and innovation among companies and other agents, as a response to its strategic challenges in cooperation.
The Basque Aerospace Cluster – HEGAN was the first aerospace regional cluster created in Spain in 1997. Since then, more than 65 Members (among which there are Tiers1, specialized SMEs, RTD Entities and Universities) supply complete systems, subassemblies, components and advanced services for Aerostructures, Engines, Systems, Space and Equipment: Basque Aerospace Value Chain.
HEGAN Members can manage the entire product lifecycle: from RTD to MRO, including design, engineering, advanced manufacturing, assembly, special processes, integration, testing, certification and product support. They are certified in EN9100, NADCAP, and other standards such as Part-21 (POA & DOA), ISO 14001 or Part-145. And they are involved in most of the most important programs around the World: HEGAN Members.
